General informations :

Authors are invited to submit abstracts for poster and oral submissions on original work for the MESOT 2010 Congress :

  • All abstracts must be submitted electronically through the MESOT 2010 Congress Web Site.
  • There is no fee for submitting an abstract.
  • There is no limit to the number of abstracts you may submit.
  • Abstracts will be accepted in English only.
  • The corresponding author may indicate any preference for oral or poster presentation.
  • Submitted abstracts will be reviewed anonymously.
  • Presenting authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by August 15, 2010.
  • Presenting authors are required to register for the Congress and are responsible for their own travel arrangements.

  • Abstracts should concern all aspects of Transplantation, including these themes :

    4. Organ procurement, Preservation, Donors
    5. Ethics and Economics
    6. Surgical techniques
    7. Kidney Transplantation
    8. Liver and small bowel Transplantation
    9. Islets and Pancreas Transplantation
    10. Cardiac and lung transplantation
    11. Combined and Multivisceral Transplantation
    12. Pediatric Transplantation
    13. Composite tissue
    14. Infectious Diseases 
    15. Malignancies
    16. Post Transplant Diabetes Mellitus & Other Metabolic complications
    17. Cardiovascular Complications and Hypertension
    18. Post Transplant Bone Disease
    19. Surgery complications
    20. Stem cell and bone marrow Transplantation
    21. Registries, Countries Reports
    22. Technical devices
    23. Other
  • Abstracts should not exceed 400 words in length including Title, Authors and Affiliations.
  • Tables and graphics may be included and each will count as 80 words.
  • The text must be single spaced using an 11 point Arial font
  • You must use the following headings for a structured abstract layout:
    • The title must be a concise short summary of your abstract.
      Capitalize all letters and do not use abbreviations.
    • Capitalize and write the first letter of author’s first names then authors family names. Capitalize only the first letter of each family name. Underline the name of the presenting author.
    • Indicate affiliations of co-authors: Department, institution, city and country.
    • Leave one blank line before the main text.
    • Body of the text describing Purpose, Materials and Methods, Results and Conclusions :
      Purpose of study: The issue being addressed, and if relevant, the hypothesis to be tested.
      Materials and Methods: Avoid abbreviations if possible; if you must use abbreviations, try to use explicit ones. Indicate statistical tests used at the end of this paragraph.
      Results and Discussion: Use SI units for all measurements. One figure or table can be used and must lie within the enclosed form boundaries. Make absolutely sure that figure or table symbols and text are large enough to allow reduction. Do not use three dimensional columns, dotted grid lines, or other unnecessary artwork in your figure or table.
      Conclusion(s): What you conclude from the results.
  • No references should be included.
